What You'll Do:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful technical delivery of our projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
Client Management: Maintain communication with clients, ensuring their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Design Oversight: Manage design aspects and ensure that selected materials and plant meet specifications and tender requirements.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with contractors to ensure all services are seamlessly integrated.
Risk & Safety Management: Prepare method statements and risk assessments, ensuring all HVAC installations meet safety and quality standards.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the project team to sequence installation work and hit key deadlines for pipework and other services.
Commercial Management: Assist in validating the project at handover from estimating to procurement, ensuring smooth project execution.
Site Management: Oversee installation works to maintain high standards on-site and drive the project through to commissioning and handover.
Cost Management: Track and document changes to the project scope, assisting with monthly valuations and final accounts.
What You'll Bring:
Proven experience in a similar mechanical and electrical contracting role.
Design management expertise is essential, with the ability to oversee and coordinate complex engineering projects.
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar field.
Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
