We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer Automation for the field service department in Schiedam, Rotterdam. What are we looking for:
Your Role:
* You carry out automation and electrical service jobs, trouble shooting and commissioning jobs on board vessels, on engine control and safety systems as well as propulsion control systems.
* You complete commissioning and service attendances in a timely and effective manner.
* You collect all necessary information related to each project in order to prepare the attendance.
* You are able to make an action plan and deliver proper documentation after any service or commissioning job.
* You promote the development and implementation of best practices in your own area of responsibility.
Your qualifications:
* You have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and/ or Automation Engineering, affinity with marine engineering, mechanical engineer or similar disciplines; You are able to read electrical / pneumatic drawings and have PLC literacy (Codesys).
* You are experienced with installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of marine equipment.
* You have Field experience in Maritime, shipping, an/or offshore oil & Gas installations.You have the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
* You are self-motivated, well organized, highly collaborative and a team player; able to work independantly.
* You can work under time pressure and you have excellent technical and communication skills.
* As working language is English, you have a good command of the English language (spoken and written).
* You are able to travel often and on short notice, worldwide (valid driver's license + passport); (+85% of the time).
