We are currently recruiting for a Head of Maintenance for one of the leading Oxford College's. In this position you will be responsible for the coordination and management of the Maintenance Department and overseeing all maintenance activity across the College's estate.
You will manage work and services to ensure that its buildings, facilities, equipment and related resources are maintained to a high standard in compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation. The Head of Maintenance will report directly to the Director of Estates and will support them in delivering the College's core objectives.
The key responsibilities are the overall management of the estate and the leadership and management of the college staff.
The successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence and be able to carry out physical and skilled work of all types typically carried out by the Maintenance Department as and when the workload demands. You will also be part of the on-call out of hours rota equally with the other participating members of the Maintenance Team for the rare occasion of an emergency.
An excellent knowledge of building maintenance processes is required and in particular building services including heating, hot water and plumbing, electrical services and building management systems, alarms and all types of detection systems.
