Geotechnical Engineer required for a major offshore wind developer based in Taiwan
Responsibilities
Ensure the compliance of engineering studies with standard industry practices in terms of HSE.
Participate in Sites visits and HSE initiatives.
Interface with Contractors as relevant for its scope of work. Ensure Contractors' deliveries are at the appropriate Quality level.
Review geotechnical aspects of Monopile installation activities in terms of design verification.
During operations, coordinate, and interface Geotechnical expertise (from various Contractors) with Monopile Operational Installation Team (offshore and onshore).
Ensure Monopile Installation documentation and post job analysis are addressing correctly Geotechnical Engineering aspects.
Participate in preparation of procedures, method statements, technical queries, risk assessments applicable to his scope of work; to ensure documentation is ready at the appropriate level of maturity.
Support Monopile Installation Operations when necessary (ie. manpower, MOC, equipment troubleshooting, geotechnical queries…).
Anticipate offshore activities and ensure Contractors start in due time preparation of the critical offshore activities (vessel mobilization, MP load out and offshore installation).Requirements
Engineering Degree (Master level, preferably).
5+ years of proven geotechnical engineering expertise in large multicultural organization.
Capable of leading multiple topics in parallel, in demanding environment.
Capable of work in multi-cultural team with various background / experienced colleagues.
Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
Good communication skills
