About the role

Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) Driver to join our Seasonal Treatment team.

This is a key role within the MPV business unit, delivering key shifts for our customer NWR/SCO by demonstrating safe driving and control of an MPV across the network.

What you'll be doing

As an MPV Driver you will:

Have in depth route knowledge of the Sussex area of the country;
Work as part of the MPV Seasonal Team to provide a safe and professional service to the customer;
Undertake any necessary working and transit shifts;
Consistently work to the plan;
Undertake training as required to retain and obtain required competency levels to drive and operate MPV's up to safety critical level;
Report any problems or safety issues to the Regional Operations Manager and the engineering team;
Comply with the provided Safe System of Work;
To comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental;
Be prepared to work unsociable hours (nights, weekends, bank holidays, Christmas and New Year) and lodge when workload requires;
Be adaptable and flexible in approach to workload demand as required by customers workload.

Psychometric Testing;
Driving Licence;
European Train Drivers Licence;
Route knowledge;
Excellent communication and people skills;
An ability to apply and champion the company's Health & Safety policy;
Personable with the ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
Self-motivated and ability to work without supervision and on own initiative;
Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively;
Self-improvement and positive attitude to work tasks and requirements.
