Role Overview:
As an Assistant Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the management of mechanical and electrical projects. This role is ideal for a Plumbing Heating Engineer looking to transition into a management role and advance their career in the M&E contracting industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the management of mechanical and electrical contracts, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
* Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery and adherence to quality standards.
* Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that arise.
* Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, specifications, and reports.
* Support in the procurement of materials and services, negotiating contracts and agreements as needed.
* Assist in managing client relationships and addressing any client concerns or inquiries.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Mechanical qualifications, preferably as a Plumbing Heating Engineer.
* Knowledge of commercial plumbing, HVAC, and general mechanical building services.
* Previous experience in the construction or M&E contracting industry is desirable.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
