CAD Draughtsman
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a CAD Draughtsman on behalf of our manufacturing client based in Welshpool, Shropshire to join their Engineering department due to significant company growth.
The successful candidate will be Technically minded, possess a strong understanding of sheet metal design and will be a Team Player.
Duties include but not limited to:
• Create detailed and accurate 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to interpret design concepts and produce comprehensive technical drawings.
• Assist in the development and modification of design layouts to meet project requirements.
• Gain proficiency in SolidWorks through provided training, allowing for seamless transition between AutoCAD and SolidWorks for various design projects.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of drafting processes and standards.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality drawings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand design objectives and provide technical support as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Ability and willingness to learn SolidWorks; previous experience is a plus but not required.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• A keen interest in continuous learning and professional development.
• Previous experience in manufacturing is advantageous.
Hours: Mon-Thurs 08:30am – 17:00pm & Fri 09:00am – 15:00pm | 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: £24,000 - £29,000 Dependant on Experience.
