Mechanical Engineer

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
£17.84 per hour
We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at a well-established production and distribution company located near Huddersfield town centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to contribute to our dynamic team and play a key role in our operations.
Salary and Shift:
* £17.84 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay and enhanced rates for overtime
* Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional Saturday mornings required for overtime
Responsibilities:
* Repairing conveyor systems, production lines, pumps, and hydraulics
* Conducting general maintenance of production and packaging machinery
* Performing planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on machinery
* Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety protocols
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment
* Expertise in repairing and maintaining conveyor systems, production lines, and hydraulics
* Strong knowledge of machinery maintenance practices, including PPM and reactive maintenance
* Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues efficiently
* Excellent attention to detail and adherence to health and safety regulations.
