Job Advertisement: Year 3 Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Position: Year 3 Teacher (Maternity Cover) Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term Duration: 2nd September 2024 - April 2025 (potential extension to the end of the academic year) Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (plus additional responsibilities)
We are a moderately sized primary school located in the heart of South Sheffield, well integrated within the local community. Our school is committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can thrive and achieve their full potential.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teacher to cover a maternity leave starting on 2nd September 2024. This is a fixed-term position until April 2025, with the possibility of extending until the end of the academic year.
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective lessons to Year 3 students.
Undertake full teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, and assessment.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Participate in occasional staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the best educational experience for our students.Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Proven experience teaching Year 3 or closely related year groups.
Strong knowledge of the Year 3 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
