Senior Software Engineer (C++)
The position offers the chance to work on the most advanced SW in automotive industry. There will be opportunities to continuously develop new skills and knowledge, not only through training but also via access to technical experts from around the world.
The successful candidate will join a diverse team of engineers from multiple cultural backgrounds, covering a wide spectrum of competencies from algorithm design to senior SW architecture, with support on all aspects of SW engineering (e.g. Quality, requirements, test…).
The role consists in developing SW from requirement analysis to design and implementation through to testing. The development is of highest quality to comply with strict automotive standards. Undoubtedly, there are also chances to exercise one's problem solving skills.
Previous professional experience in automotive or robotics industry will be a major asset for the success of the candidate and the benefit of the team. At least 5 years of relevant experience dealing with complex application such as ADAS sensing or mapping functions is required.
The candidate is able to work independently but must be a top team player as success relies on great collaboration within our Agile team. Leadership experience and willingness to take responsibility is highly regarded.
Completed studies in computer science, robotics, electronic engineering or comparable education (minimum BSc).
Advanced C/C++ programming skills, preferably in embedded and automotive area.
Experience in developing and debugging object-oriented embedded software in real-time.
Good comprehension and analytical thinking with solid mathematical abilities.
Experience of collaborative development and source control software.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience with Agile methodology.
Experience with automotive development process.
Experience with environmental mapping SW design and implementation.
Experience with computational geometry problems.
Good understanding of sensor fusion algorithms.
Good understanding of machine learning algorithms.
Good understanding of computer vision algorithms.
Experience in continual improvement and tuning of algorithms using automated and live testing.
Advanced knowledge of Linux command line including SW development toolchain (e.g. CMake, GCC, git…).
Knowledge of MS Visual Studio C++ project maintenance.
