Role Overview:

Our clients Service is funded by the Northumbria Violence Reduction Unit, aiming to create a safer environment where individuals, families, and communities can thrive without the fear of violence. Covering the Northumbria Police Force area, this service focuses on supporting vulnerable children, young people, and adults who are at risk of or have been involved in serious violent crime. We are seeking two dedicated Persistent Offender Support Workers to join their team.

The role involves providing comprehensive support to individuals identified as persistent offenders within Newcastle's city centre. You will work closely with service users to address the underlying factors contributing to their offending behavior and support them in making positive changes to their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Caseload Management: Effectively manage a caseload of service users, delivering tailored support to meet their individual needs.

Intervention Planning: Develop, implement, and review support plans and treatment strategies in collaboration with service users to help them achieve their goals.

Collaborative Approach: Work closely with a diverse team of professionals, including police, colleagues, family members, and other stakeholders, to ensure integrated support.

Goal Setting: Assist service users in setting and working towards their goals in a supportive environment.
Essential/Desirable:

DBS on Update Service is essential.

A strong commitment to the well-being and rehabilitation of service users.

Experience in substance misuse, support work, mental health, or criminal justice.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Knowledge of best practices in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.

Adherence to ethical standards and guidelines in the field
