Our client, a market leading company in their field is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, writing up risk assessments and promoting a safe working environment.
Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards
- Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions
- Provide safety training to employees, including first aid and emergency response procedures
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, and safety training
- Collaborate with management to develop and improve safety programs
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices in workplace safety
- Prepare and write up risk assessments
Requirements:
- NEBOSH certificate
- Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills
