Pallet Network Manager
We are hiring a Pallet Network Manager to oversee our operations and ensure seamless freight handling through X-Dock. Join our team and take charge of:
Operations:
* Supervising daily loading and dispatch of outbound freight.
* Providing clear direction to staff for inbound stock shipping to the HUB’s
Fleet:
* Ensuring roadworthiness of all vehicles and addressing defects promptly.
* Following PMI/MOT schedules and supporting the VMU with equipment needs.
Systems:
* Utilizing internal systems (ESP, Contrado, Samsara) to monitor driver progress and meet service levels consistently.
Administration:
* Collaborating with Planners to ensure correct rates and costs for all jobs.
* Managing Contrado/ESP on a job-by-job basis , communicating with drivers to ensure jobs are closed and delivery requirements are met.
Reports:
* Developing and producing daily reports on loading times and driver departures via Tacho master, to reduce downtime and ensure driver compliance.
Commercial and Financial:
* Assist Planning/ Admin team in making correct commercial decisions through daily plan analysis. Looking for opportunities to improve volumes and overall plan.
* Monitoring costings and quotes to maintain profitability and avoid credit issues.
Profitability
* Work with internal stakeholder to ensure daily Transport plan is profitable, achievable and accurate around volumes, pallet counts and weights.
Customers and KPIs:
* Communicating with customers daily and monitoring KPI status to ensure we are achieving our OTIF without exception.
Support and Staff Management:
* Covering for the General Manager and managing staff attendance, utilisation of the resource available in the appropriate areas to support all shifts, raising PO’s, arranging FLT repairs, cost management, staff recruitment, disciplinary actions to dismissal and training.
Requirements:
* Strong operational, planning, and network experience.
* Attention to detail and ability to manage fleet maintenance.
* Proficiency in staff management, recruitment, and disciplinary procedures.
* PC literacy and experience in a fast-paced freight environment.
* Fast learner with good transport knowledge
Work Hours 09:00-18:00
