Are you an experienced Financial Controller looking for an exciting opportunity with a global organisation? Our client is seeking a talented Financial Controller to join their team whilst the business is going through a period of change. You will oversee a team of accountants across varying levels and be responsible for coordinating accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial recording, and preparing financial statements for multiple ledgers.

Responsibilities:

Supervise a team of 5.
Review and prepare monthly account reconciliations.
Coordinate assigned accounting activities with outside organisations.
Ensure timely and accurate recording of all accounting transactions.
Lead the monthly close process and preparation of financial statements.
Oversee, prepare, and post journal entries.
Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
Identify and reconcile discrepancies in a timely manner.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial schedules and reports.
Support financial and tax audits.
Deliver team performance in line with agreed KPIs.
Identify opportunities for standardising and improving processes and implementing those improvements.Requirements:

Minimum of five years of professional accounting experience.
At least two years of lead and/or supervisory experience.
Demonstrable skills in leading and developing a team.
Experience in a process-driven environment such as shared services or outsourcing.
Exposure to US tax and regulatory framework.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Advanced Excel skills, including experience with Pivot Tables and Formulas.
ERP/Accounting Systems experience, with JDE E1 experience preferred.
Must be able to work with a large volume of data.
Familiarity with process management disciplines such as Lean Six Sigma.
Strong planning, organising, and deadline-oriented skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work well within a team.
