Athwal Resourcing is currently recruiting for a Client Accountant position with an established and reputable accountancy practice in Ludlow. Our client, a growing accountancy practice with a stellar reputation, is seeking an Accountant to support the Directors in preparing accounts and tax for a diverse portfolio of clients. As part of a small and dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the practice's high standards of service, communicating with clients, guiding a small team of accounts trainees and ensuring the preparation and review of the financial accounts and tax affairs for the clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of limited company, partnership, and sole trader financial statements;
Completion of corporation and VAT tax returns and self-assessment;
Managing multiple work deadlines to ensure timely completion for all clients;
Regular communication with clients including client visits;
Collaborating with the team to ensure efficient processing of client paperwork;
Conducting Client Due Diligence
Maintaining a high level of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training.The Ideal Candidate:
AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, ideally from a small or medium-sized accountancy practice;
Hands-on experience in accounting preparation, including accounts to trial balance stage;
Proficiency in UK tax regulations, self-assessment, and VAT preparation and filing;
Familiarity with HMRC procedures and communication;
Knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or Quickbooks, along with Microsoft Excel and Word;
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with commercial awareness;
Excellent interpersonal skills and organisational capabilities;
Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines;
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support colleagues.What Client Offers:
