Really exciting opportunity in Blackburn for both Mechanical & Electrical Biased multi skilled engineers!
Position: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Blackburn
Schedule: 4 days on, 4 days off | 6 AM – 4 PM
About the Role:
Are you ready to be the heartbeat of our engineering operations? We’re seeking a proactive problem-solver to ensure our machinery runs smoother than a Swiss watch! As an integral part of our team, you’ll work closely with the Engineering Manager to eliminate downtime and boost equipment efficiency in a safety-first culture.
Your Mission:
Master Maintenance: Deliver top-notch maintenance services—reactive, preventative, predictive, and corrective—fuelling performance enhancements.
Electrical Sherlock: Dive into electrical mysteries with fault-finding missions, PPM tasks, and rigorous safety inspections.
Support Superstar: Offer stellar support to the Engineering Supervisor and team, crafting shift reports, analysing root causes, and maintaining meticulous records.
Performance Pioneer: Monitor equipment behaviour, spearhead optimisation projects, and drive continuous improvement with a keen eye for detail.
What We Need from You:
A solid foundation with a time-served apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Minimum 1 year post qualification experience.
A track record of thriving in a collaborative maintenance team.
A safety-first mindset with good electrical fault-finding prowess.
Good mechanical engineering grounding.
Communication champion and interpersonal wizard, ensuring Health, Safety, and Quality are always in focus.
The ability to work independently with a flawless execution approach.
Self-driven, diligent, and trustworthy—a true asset to our team.
Rewards:
A competitive salary of £35,500 plus a £2,000 shift allowance.
