We are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to be based at a busy distribution company in Waltham Cross, where you'll be given the opportunity lead your own team. You will be responsible for motivating and leading a team to achieve high standards and reach targets.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working 5 out of 7 days each week 9am-6pm, however flexibility on the hours of work may be required.
Duties:
Awareness and compliance with all company policies including Health and Safety, Management, Food Hygiene, and Quality.
Maintain a clean and well-organised warehouse.
Participate in performance appraisal and objective setting, to lead to team improvement in efficiency and waste reduction.
Provide support to associates for improvement, including training to improve quality and compliance.
Support management on communication including shift briefs, schedules, departure times, handovers etc.
Work closely with management to adjust work processes based on daily volume.
Support warehouse team and management with all duties.The ideal candidate will possess:
Previous experience as a team leader within a fast-paced operation, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
Good time keeping skills, with experience working to deadlines and meeting targets.
Good working knowledge of current health & safety and food hygiene legislation.
Strong leadership skills, with positive and professional oral and written communication and ability to give directions clearly.
Motivation and energy, with a strong will to rise to a challenge with a 'can do' attitude.
Knowledge of warehouse management systems.
Sound administrative skills and computer literacy with a good understanding of Excel and Word.
Ability to follow and carry out instruction with excellent accuracy and strong attention to detail.About the Warehouse:
