We are a 70+ year old manufacturing company and are looking for an Accountant/Bookkeeper to join us! We are looking for someone who has the skills we need and experience in accounting in the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
Manage the accounts payable and account receivable, work with the Orders Desk to follow up on invoices and outstanding invoices.
General accounting: maintaining and updating the general ledger to ensure accuracy.
Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements as well as cost-analysis of current tools.
Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
Assist in budgeting process, preparing financial data and analysis to support decision-making.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial controls and procedures.
Assist with Payroll/ADP Run and prepare annual state and local licensing certifications and basic tax filings.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Proven experience in accounting roles, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Solid knowledge of general accounting skills and strong knowledge of accounting, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, financial statements.
Work experience and knowledge of SAGE 100 ERP (manufacturing), QuickBooks, ADP Run, Microsoft Excel.
Well-organized, detail-oriented and accurate, trustworthy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication in person, on the phone, and through email.
Positive and upbeat demeanor.
