SUMMARY
Prince Industries is currently seeking an Accountant to join our team. They will work under the guidance of the Accounting Manager and will focus on a variety of duties including month end closing, invoicing, daily sales reports, and audit reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for month end close
Preparing journal entries
Account and bank reconciliations
Fixed asset entries and monitoring depreciation
Compiles information for transfer of funds for benefit programs.
Assists with inventory.
Assist with reporting including government and sales and use tax.
Understands and analyzes product costing information.
Assists with month end process.
Assists with preparation of documents for annual audits.
Back up for A/P invoice entry and A/R cash receipts application.
Daily invoicing of shipments, including international invoices on demand.
Prepares the daily sales report and distributes to appropriate personnel.
Operating in Excel daily for documentation
Utilizing ERP system
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work on a variety of tasks daily.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written in a professional manner.
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the company and with customers.
Excellent computer skills including payroll software, ERP systems and Microsoft office suite.
Good problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Keeps all personnel information confidential and private.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and/or payroll.
Experience in manufacturing or machining is required.
Epicor experience is a plus.
