Electric Monster is a rapidly growing content creation studio founded in March of ‘21 that acquires and grows digital video brands in the general entertainment space. The team at Electric Monster is a diverse mix of ambitious digital video veterans and people looking to make their mark on our industry. As we continue to grow, we are in search of a Graphic Design Lead to join our talented team and help shape the future of digital content.
Position Summary
We’re seeking a talented Graphic Design Lead with experience developing visual branding for new and existing media properties. The right candidate is someone with a passion for digital media, how it’s consumed, and finding the visual languages that keep viewers coming back for more. They’re experienced in working in a variety of verticals, able to help develop plans for market tests, and take the reins on setting the gold standard for design templates in collaboration with Strategy & Creative teams.
This is position is full-time, Hybrid, and reports directly into the SVP of Strategy.
This role will be required to come into our Burbank studio for our Monthly Analytics Meetings, work events, and on set on an as-needed basis to align with production on capturing images for thumbnails and assets.
Key Responsibilities
Design thumbnails, tiles, and marketing assets for distribution on social media platforms.
Lead design and branding development for new and existing brands in the Electric Monster portfolio, including logos, key art, thumbnail & tiles templates, etc.
Own visual development of Electric Monster marketing materials, internal decks, and similar documents as needed.
Collaborate with the Strategy team on performance tracking and advance the visual design of properties in response to data gathered.
Review Junior Designers work alongside SVP Strategy and other Strategy team members to ensure proper execution of greenlit design concepts.
Ideate and execute design work for top priority projects, including experimental initiatives, brands in development and redesigns.
Coordinate with Strategy & Production teams as needed to ensure thumbnail assets captured on set are in line with ongoing requests.
Coordinate with SVP Strategy & VP of Creative to ensure consistent visual branding across static materials and motion graphics.
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and tools.
As needed, update team and Jr Designers on design best practices & techniques to further team understanding of the “behind the curtain” aspects of design.
Uphold Electric Monster's ethics and values while performing duties.
Leadership Responsibilities
Manage, educate, and train a team of graphic designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative working environment.
Maintain composure and lead by example during challenging times, demonstrating resilience and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
Requirements
4-5 years of professional design work for a similar company, Creator, agency or MCN
2+ years proven experience effectively managing/leading two or more direct reports (interns count).
Experienced in leading design and branding development for both new and existing brands, including creating logos, key art, and template designs.
Strong understanding of visual design principles and their application in both digital and print formats.
Up-to-date with the latest industry developments, tools, and best practices in design.
Proficient in designing thumbnails, tiles, and marketing assets for social media distribution.
Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
Collaborative, able to work with varied levels of management, peers and talent across various teams.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey design concepts and input.
Excited to help grow the Electric Monster Media owned brands through innovative design.

Base Salary: $70,000.00/annu.
