For our site in Pfaffenhofen/Ilm we are seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the position: European Governmental Affairs & Strategic Partnerships Senior Manager (m/f/x) The Position: The Governmental Affairs & Strategic Partnerships team represents our interests and promotes our goal to become a leading global healthcare company contributing to the sustainable development of society. The Governmental Affairs & Strategic Partnerships Senior Manager executes our strategic stakeholder management programs and projects on a European and national level with the focus on our cardiovascular portfolio and our production site in Pfaffenhofen, near Munich. The candidate should have extensive experience in Policy and Public Affairs with a particular focus on healthcare and pharma. Building trust and relationships is a key part of the role, along with monitoring and driving important healthcare topics. Reporting: Reports to the Head of Governmental Affairs & Strategic Partnerships Europe & Canada The position requires regular on-site presence at our European Headquarters in Munich and our manufacturing site in Pfaffenhofen (60 km north of Munich). Executes the Global and European Governmental Affairs strategy and develops regional and local plans with a focus on our cardiovascular portfolio, entry in generic markets and our production site in Pfaffenhofen Engage with stakeholders and key policy makers on EU, national and local level to ensure DS positions are recognized Track key policies, laws, and regulations impacting pharma manufacturing Identify early on and prioritize emerging regulations and legislation that will impact DS's manufacturing and ensure internal awareness, including risks and opportunities Analyze and actively follow trends and changes in the political environment and develop position and messaging papers Align closely with internal key stakeholders like Subject Matter Experts at our production site in Pfaffenhofen (incl. site lead) Organize and prepare DS-representatives participation in key events, speeches, including e.g. production site visits by policy makers, round tables, and industry conferences Build and manage trustful relationships with stakeholders and institutions Fosters an open and creative information and engagement culture through a coherent approach across the organization University degree (e.g. master's degree in Political Science, European Studies, Public Affairs, Law, Journalism, Economics, or similar) At least 5 years of work experience in a company or institutional Policy or PR position in the healthcare sector In-depth experience working with external stakeholders from a wide variety of fields, roundtables and meetings Understanding of the European and German political environment Expertise in the policy & regulatory landscape of generics and pharma production Passion for working with people from various functions (e.g. chemistry, engineering, medical, marketing, etc.) Personal values matching Daiichi-Sankyo values: integrity, collaboration, commitment and courage in day-to-day interactions with customers and colleagues Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and deliver on deadlines and budgets Excellent English and German skills (written and spoken) Willingness to travel Excellent Benefits Work-Life Balance Growth and Development Health and Wellbeing Support
