Group Parts Manager – Crawley

Salary: £40k to £45k

The Company

Our Client is established in the sale and service of Commercial Vehicles.

The Role

A full-time Group Parts Manager to look after the needs of Commercial Vehicle dealer sites. The role will manage the needs of various sites to ensure that their demand for parts are satisfied. Working shifts patterns include 7am – 5pm or 8am – 6pm.

Responsibilities include:

To establish the objectives with the Dealer Principal / Site Managers and achieve those objectives for Parts operations under your control.
To effectively co-ordinate all activities of the Parts operation.
To directly liaise, negotiate and implement policy in conjunction with the manufacturer.
To maximise and monitor the Manufacturer bonus model each year.
To manage and lead the Trade Parts Site and oversee the Group Parts departments at a site level, in a way which supports the business objectives of the dealership and compliments the manufacturer’s policies. The Parts staff at the workshop locations will report directly to the Site Manager, with a dotted line to the Group Parts Manager.
To deliver a quality of parts and service which meets or exceeds customers’ expectations.  
To develop the department as a profit centre which makes the maximum contributions to the financial success of the group
To monitor all the channels of parts sales and effectively promote growth in sales, but keeping a watchful eye on gross margins and customer spend patterns.
To ensure that accurate Parts stock checks are carried out timely.
To maintain strict control of all assets, stocks and control of all debtors and cash flow

Essential Skills & Requirements:

Over 2 years’ experience as a Commercial Parts Manager or Commercial Aftersales Manager
Dealership experience essential
Aftersales experience essential
Full Parts/ Aftersales lifecycle experience
