We are currently recruiting for a Lift Inspector on behalf of our public sector client based in Croydon.
The role will provide technical leadership and knowledge to the Lift aspects of the compliance team.
This is a contract role, initially for 3 to 6 months and is paying up to £250 per day Umbrella. The role offers hybrid working, with at least 2 days in the office/on site in Croydon.
Key duties will include:
Verify installations
To authorise works
Undertake and record lift inspections
Respond to lift outages
Ensuring that communications to residents are suitable and timely
Evaluating risks to residents of lift outages and responding accordingly with mitigation action
Managing lift refurbishment programme
Evaluating and deciding on variation requests both pre, during and post works
Providing challenge when required to contractors
Provide auditing of works
Checking servicing contractors' invoices in complianceKey skills required:
Experience of working in a lift service and maintenance operation in a decision-making position
Knowledge of the Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) and Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR)IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition BS7671 ideally backed by relevant qualifications
