Job Title: Solutions Architect Contract Type: Outside IR35 Location: Remote

Service Care Solutions is recruiting on behalf of Thames Valley Police (TVP) for a skilled Solutions Architect. In this role, you will transform business requirements and proposals into comprehensive solution designs, enabling internal stakeholders to review, approve, and deliver these designs efficiently. You will work closely with project managers, business analysts, and development teams to ensure alignment with TVP's enterprise architecture vision.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design: Develop solutions that meet all specified requirements, ensuring they are fully suitable for the problems they address.
Information Preparation: Create detailed documentation for:
Internal Sponsors: High-level technical summaries and relationship to existing capabilities.
Internal Stakeholders: Detailed solution resolutions for approval.
Development Teams: Technical details for project management, task breakdown, and progress tracking.
Infrastructure Team: Infrastructure requirements for resource provisioning and planning.
Maintenance Team: Maintenance details to assist with issue resolution and solution extension.
Training and Testing Teams: Confirm training needs and design functional and non-functional tests.
Enterprise Alignment: Ensure all solutions align with the enterprise architecture vision and maintain an authoritative knowledge base documenting each solution.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in architecture design and management.
Proficiency with implementation patterns and architectural languages.
Strong skills in informal design methodologies (e.g., UML diagrams).
Fluency in several programming languages.
Excellent communication skills for building effective working relationships.
Familiarity with project management and solution delivery.
Experience in testing practices associated with code deliverables.
Flexible and positive approach to work, with the ability to travel as needed.

Desirable Skills:

Experience with formal design methodologies and discrete mathematics.
Knowledge of testing practices for requirements verification and validation.
