An Account Manager is currently required by a wholesaler and distributer specialising in managing distressed stocks across all category areas for some of the world’s leading brands. They sell both domestically and internationally to retailers, wholesalers, and online platforms. The company is known for its fantastic team ethos and a great working environment.
The account manager will play a crucial role in driving sales and margin targets based on a commercial budgeted plan. This role involves regular customer contact to achieve targets, working with internal departments and suppliers to maximise sales margins, and delivering excellent customer service. The successful candidate will support company campaigns and the sales strategy to exceed customer and company targets. Review enquiry documents to understand risks and opportunities.

Location: Blisworth, Northamptonshire (Office-based role, office hours Mon – Fri 08:30 – 17:30)
 
Roles & Responsibilities
Grow retained customer sales and margins to achieve budgeted targets in line with company standards.
Win and retain profitable new business, achieving sales and margin targets based on a commercial budgeted plan.
Ensure regular customer contact with planned objectives and defined outputs prior to each call.
Collaborate with internal departments and suppliers to maximise sales margins and deliver excellent customer service.
Drive agreed company campaigns and support the sales strategy to meet and exceed targets.
Work closely with sales and administration colleagues to ensure compliance, retention, and delivery of customer orders.
Fulfil all relevant administrative and reporting requirements in a timely manner for all day-to-day work and ad-hoc requests. Experience & Skills Required

Quick learner with the ability to absorb product knowledge quickly.
Organised, strong planner, PC literate, able to work to targets, deadlines, and under pressure.

Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
Customer-oriented approach to account management, aiming to exceed expectations.
