The CFO has recently been appointed to a new portfolio company for a boutique, UK Private Equity house. The 100+ year old business has been grown by the founding family into a leading player in their market. Following the acquisition, the organisation is entering an exciting new chapter with a strategic plan of growth. The CFO is now seeking an exceptional individual to join him in creating a “best in class” FP&A capability.

The role will be responsible for delivering the medium and long-term plan, annual budget, regular forecasts and monthly reporting processes across a fast paced, multi product line organisation.

You will provide world class support to the business including the preparation of business cases, review of proposals, analysis of operating plan variances and special projects.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Plan, communicate and take responsibility and accountability for timely and accurate completion of the Budget and Forecast process.

Analyse period results, forecasts and budgets and make recommendations on business performance improvements.

Prepare and analyse the monthly board pack and brief the CFO in preparation for management and board meetings. This will involve:

* Completing critical parts of the management accounts ahead of the submission deadline.

* Responsibility for production of key analytics.

* Reviewing key metrics (such as variances to budget, volumes etc.), reverting questions to appropriate people and preparing commentary to support these metrics.

* Liaising with non-finance teams as appropriate.

Review proposals and business cases and ensure consistency with the Group’s strategic and financial objectives.

Applicants will be fully qualified with a CV that demonstrates an accomplished career to date in an FP&A focussed role, developing a full understanding of all aspects of financial management, financial forecasting, budgeting and reporting. You will have gained exposure to working in a fast-moving organisation with multiple product lines and agile decision making. Experience of working with multiple stock locations would be a distinct advantage to your application, as would knowledge of NetSuite as an operating system.
