Job title: Cover Supervisor

Location: Gateshead

Hours: 8:30 -4:30pm

Salary:£ 90- £150 per day

GSL Education are actively seeking a confident Cover Supervisor for an immediate placement at a friendly primary School in Gateshead.

Cover Supervisor Role

Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain on task and engaged in their learning.
Implement pre-prepared lesson plans across different subject areas and year groups.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment.
Provide support to students, answering questions and offering assistance as needed.
Communicate effectively with teaching staff and school administrators regarding any issues or concerns.
Requirements

Previous experience working in a school environment or with children and young people – preferably in a TA or HLTA position – or have experience leading class based sessions
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Great Rapport Builder , confident managing behaviour
An enhanced DBS on the update service OR the willingness to complete an immediate application
RTW in the UK and a fully checkable work history
Able to work Monday to Friday role – term time only, with working hours 8.30 -3.30pm
