Our client based in Middlebsrough is recruiting for experienced production supervisors to work in a busy food manufacturing environment.
This is a permanent position and works on 4 on 4 off 12 hour shift pattern.
Purpose of the role :
* Ensuring all line safety start up sheets are completed and raise any issues with Engineering.
* Agree the schedule for production/packing plan by line.
* Oversee the production/packing process.
* Supervise and motivate the Line Leaders and Operatives.
* Liaise with other departments; Planning, Low Risk, High Risk and Sleeve & Box to ensure optimum efficiency of process flow
* Ensure the relevant quality policies and procedures are adhered to.
* Liaise with QA Auditors to eliminate any quality issues.
Key Tasks :
* Ensure that the packing/production plans are met on time in full.
* To constantly monitor and optimise efficiencies.
* To continuously monitor waste and implement action plans to reduce total wastage on the shift.
* To undertake any other duties that could reasonably be expected within the remit of the post.
* To ensure all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to in order to ensure a zero accident culture is developed on shift.
* To continuously monitor housekeeping in all areas.
* To be responsible for GMP in your area and train to maintain a good standard through the GMP process.
* Ensure Hygiene (tray wash area) staff are supervised.
