Linkster Recruitment are currently looking for a Safety and Compliance Manager to join our manufacturing Client on permanent basis.

COMPANY

An opportunity has arisen to work within a developing Safety & Compliance Department of a well-established manufacturing company.

THE ROLE

Reporting into the Technical Director, this role is ideal for someone who is experienced in a safety and compliance environment looking for a long-term developing role. With a passion for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all personnel on site, regulatory and auditing processes this is a diverse role with an opportunity to make a difference in a fast-paced and growing business.

The chosen candidate will also work closely with the R&D team, as well supporting the wider business and customers with compliance and health and safety queries.

The individual will work closely with all teams across the business including Production, Purchasing, Product, Marketing and Sales.

* Full-time

* Office-based with some opportunities to work from home when relevant

* Occasional travel may be required to visit customers and distribution partners

* Opportunity to develop skills base through funded courses and training software

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

* Overseeing the management and reduction of H&S incidents

* Scheduling and completing audits to comply with ISO 9001 and 14001

* Maintenance and development of risk monitoring practices including COSHH, DSEAR & SMETA

* Create, review and update risk assessments

* Accident and near miss reporting

* Review of contractor RAMS

* Coordinating with insurance companies

* Development and revision of policies and practices related to H&S

* Quality and environmental system management

* Ensure H&S inductions provided in timely manner for new starters

IDEAL CANDITATE WILL:

* Show a passion for Health & Safety practices

* Demonstrate substantial regulatory and auditing experience.

* Be a people person and confident communicating with consumers and customers.

* Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to put a hand to any tasks to support the department/wider business.

* Have an ability to work cross-functionally across relevant teams.

* Be a team player, proactive, positive, enthusiastic and demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude.

* Have strong attention to detail.

REQUIREMENTS

* At least three years’ experience in a H&S and compliance role.

* Ideally have a NEBOSH certification

* Computer literacy – MS Outlook, Excel, Word.

* Excellent communication

* A willingness to learn and support the wider business with development and regulatory requirements.
