Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team specializing in highway infrastructure projects. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring cost control, and maximizing profitability. Your responsibilities will include:
 
Undertaking cost analysis for highway infrastructure projects, including detailed cost estimating, cost planning, and cost control throughout all project stages.
Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, and conditions of contract.
Liaising with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to negotiate and agree on contractual terms and conditions.
Managing the procurement process, including the selection and appointment of subcontractors and suppliers.
Evaluating and negotiating variations, claims, and disputes to achieve favorable outcomes for the company.
Conducting regular site visits to assess progress and provide financial updates to project stakeholders.
Monitoring project budgets and cash flows, identifying risks and implementing mitigation measures as required.
Collaborating with the project team to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
Mentoring and providing guidance to junior quantity surveyors as needed.

Skills Required:
The ideal candidate will possess:
 
Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a focus on highway infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, including cost estimating, contract administration, and procurement.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
Proven ability to manage project budgets, cash flows, and financial reporting.
Sound understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as MS Excel, MS Project, and quantity surveying software.
Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
