Position: Flexographic Printer
Location: Royston
Hours: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm (Rotating Weekly)
Salary: DOE
Job purpose
To complete a training programme to enable the printer to operate flexographic printing equipment
(Nilpeter and Digicon press) competently as instructed on his/her own, to produce quality labels in a timely and efficient manner.
Duties & responsibilities
Operate equipment according to procedure and job specification
Ensure daily productivity targets are met
Ensure jobs are produced to the highest quality, working to ISO9001, PS9000 and BRC standards
Accurately record equipment settings to enable repeat jobs
Contribute to maintaining a Continuous Improvement culture
Follow all safety procedures for job role
Maintain work area in an organised, tidy, acceptable manner
Maintain colour to agreed standards
Conduct general maintenance of the equipment, maintain high cleanliness levels
Ensure optimum equipment set up and product output with efficient use of consumables
Have a good understanding of printing with CMYK - colour appreciation Key requirements
Computer literate
Effective communication skills (English language essential) both verbal and written
Excellent attention to detail and able to follow instructions/procedures
An effective team player and able to work independently
GCSE in English and Maths (grade C, 4 or above, or equivalent)
Strong organisation and time management skillsShift pattern
Double day weekly rotating shift pattern:
