About the role
As part of an experienced team, you will:
* Identify and order parts through a variety of sources (Inc. main dealers; trade outlets; salvage operators etc.)
* Job costing (FP)
* Manage stocks of components, paint and materials
* Receive, checking and placing parts in numbered bin locations
* Issuing parts to the shop floor
* Update stock records and manage paint and consumables via the company's computerised stock system
* Liaise with other departments, including reception and workshop control
* Ensure all customer enquiries are attended to professionally and in a timely manner
* Maintain a basic knowledge of Motofix services in order to answer basic sales and service enquiries
* Administer parts returns and communicate exceptional items to accounts teams
* General tidying and keeping the stores in good order
* You will play a pivotal role in site productivity, customer outcomes and margin performance.
Skills/Experience & Qualifications
* 3 years automotive parts experience
* Excellent customer manner (warm, friendly and helpful)
* Basic up selling skills
* Strong IT, admin and organisational skills
* Ability and willingness to learn and undertake other duties within the admin team
What we look for
* Ability to work as parts of a team with minimal supervision.
* Knowledge to sourcing parts from most suitable suppliers OE, Non-OE, Green etc.
* Ability to identify automotive parts correctly.
* Manage parts returns ensuring prompt recovery of parts credits.
* Manage internal stocks of parts, paint and dry goods.
* IT skills related to automotive parts systems.
