Registered Manager
Location – Birmingham
Salary - £40-£50k basic and £5k performance related bonus
Are you an experienced Manager or Deputy Manager looking for your next promotion?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that’s vision is to empower every child and young person in their care so that they may progress towards an independent, fulfilled and happy adulthood.
They currently have 2 homes, both with an Outstanding Ofsted report, and are opening a new 2 bed home based in Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children's home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and statutory requirements.
* Provide strong leadership to a team of support staff, promoting a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each child, with a focus on safeguarding and promoting their welfare.
* Liaise effectively with external stakeholders, including local authorities, social workers, and healthcare professionals, to ensure the best outcomes for the children in our care.
* Take responsibility for recruitment, training, and supervision of staff, fostering a positive working environment conducive to professional growth and development.
* Maintain accurate records, manage budgets effectively, and contribute to the strategic planning and development of the service.
Requirements:
* Qualified to Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
* Proven experience working within a residential childcare setting, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
* Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and the latest Ofsted regulations and inspection frameworks.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to promoting the welfare and best interests of children.
* Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
* Enhanced DBS clearance and satisfactory references.
