Mobile Testing and Inspecting Electrician

TXM Recruit are currently looking for Mobile Testing and Inspecting Electricians for an expanding Facilities Management company to work on their BT contracts purely conducting testing and inspecting on a range of their industrial sites.

The ideal Electricians will be expected to cover the North of England as this is a mobile role, so travelling is essential. The ideal locations for Electrician’s to be based are Barnsley, Leeds, Sheffield, Doncaster etc. The base salary for this Electrician role is 39k but with overtime options (x1.5 pay for Monday – Saturday and x2.0 pay for Sundays and bank holidays) there is the opportunity to earn more.

The Electrician’s duties include –

* Able to demonstrate a proven track record with (post apprenticeship) experience of project installation work including electrical testing.

* Knowledge and experience installing and modifying electrical components and systems to include 1st fix containment, 2nd fix installations, power & lighting.

* To be able to carry out all testing and inspection to enable the completion of certification.

* Assist the Project Manager / Supervisor with the required information to enable the compilation of estimates / quotations as required.

* Have experience installing trays, ladders, conduits etc. as per construction drawings.

* To provide information on progress of the project as per Project Programme & to follow RAMS.

* Adherence to the Quality Management System applied to all M&E systems.

* Following the specific SOR’S issued and drawings.

The minimum requirements for this Mobile Electrician role are -

* Qualified to City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ & C&G 2382 -10 - Electrical installations.

* 18th edition

* City & Guilds 2391 – Testing and Inspecting

Ideal experience for this role –

* Experience of commercial and industrial electrical installations and testing.

* Experience of installation of LV distribution systems

* Experience of DC /UPS system is not essential but is advantageous.

* First Aid, IPAF and PASMA training will be provided if required but advantageous if already certified.
