Our clients have taken on the contract for this large staff canteen, serving breakfast and lunch to 1500 staff daily, and are looking for an experienced Sous chef , or Assistant kitchen manager, with experience in assisting in the leading of teams working within large staff canteens, to offer high quality food, and service, and consistently strive to exceed the expectations of the clients in this prestigious venue

Our Yorkshire based clients are looking to recruit an innovative, creative, and passionate Sous Chef to oversee the team of talented chefs in this very well looked after kitchen.

The Ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Experienced Sous chef with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, able to show drive and creative flair.

Must have experience working in a contract catering kitchen in a large staff canteen or high end school

Understanding of menu development & costings.

Understanding of stock control, compliance and KPI’s

Self-driven and proven leadership skills

Experience in developing and training staff.

Have a professional, outgoing and positive personality with excellent interpersonal skills

A professional and confident demeanor is essential, as is the ability to show the company ethos & high standards every day in service & management.

Understanding of the latest H&S guidelines and procedures.

Be a strong leader, being able to enthuse those around you

Be able to lead by example to ensure your high standards filter through the kitchen team

Have the ability to self-manage and the ability to adapt and improvise to changing situations.
