Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a rapidly expanding specialist manufacturing business based in Sheffield who are on the lookout for a Production & Logistics Controller.
The role has a designated dual function, firstly to support with the requirements of the production team in terms of “Data and information” and secondly to Manage and provide full “Logistical control” over the inbound and outbound movements of products to subcontract operations and to our customers.

Responsibilities within Production:

Supported the production schedule including fault finding/auditing and adherence to company quality and procedures
Managing auditable stock, providing support to the stores department
Controlling inbound stock management, ensuring quantities are maintained
Creation of packing slips and ensuring specifications are in line with requirements of customers
Management of external subcontractors and review of services
Management of suppliers and internal systems

Responsibilities within Logistics:

Providing a strong ser vice to the internal production team and customer base
Extracting critical information from internal and external sources
Monitoring and tracking transport providers performance, writing up reports to illustrate progression/performance and opportunities to improve
Maintain accurate records of movement and traceability ensuring the location and status is known

Candidate Requirements:

Prior experience in production or logistics roles
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Ability to prioritise tasks and adjust schedules based on business needs
Strong time management skills, capable of handling multiple responsibilities
Excellent interpersonal skills with a knack for building effective working relationships
