Intermediate M&E Quantity Surveyor

Salary: €65,000 - €70,000

Role/Responsibilities:

* As an intermediate M&E QS, you will be a key member of the team, providing support to the Project Surveyor

* You will assist in the overall financial management of the project and will gain experience across all areas of surveying practices, including procurement of subcontract packages, cost reporting, measuring of drawings and production of variation breakdowns, and final account negotiations.

* Prepare and monitor all supporting documentation for extension of time and loss in expense claims, in line with the contract documentation.

* Monitor project variations, project claims and compile all supporting documents, ensuring all the relevant project files are updated for review by the company’s Commercial Manager.

* Minimise the cost and enhance value for money for projects, whilst still achieving the required standards and quality.

* Administration of Sub-contractors’ contracts, to ensure fair and efficient management of Sub-contractor packages.

* Assess Sub-contractors’ application for payments, to ensure a fair valuation in line with the progress on site and with their contracts.

The ideal candidate:

* Ideally you will have a degree in building services or mechanical or electrical engineering.

* A strong level of computer skills and technical understanding on Microsoft Word, Excel and various other software packages.

* You will need to have a willingness to learn, strong personal skills and a good work ethic.

They will consider people on a 17/4 rotation basis, covering accommodation and transport
