Job description

Position – Multi Skilled Engineer

£47,500 - £50,000, with a up to 2.5k bonus (paid every year), Company Pension Scheme, Training (Including Funded HNCs etc) + Progression Opportunities + Other Benefits

Shifts – 4 on 4 off

Location – Mansfield

Our client has established themselves as one of the UK’s largest retail businesses. The company turnover equates to nearly 4 billion pound due to the ownership of many of the UK’s biggest brand names. The site is the largest distribution centre in the UK and is receiving a £200 million pound investment to get the site up and running! Due to the status and market share that our client possesses, the job of a shift automation manager coincides with the promise of a highly stable job and a great chance for potential growth and progression!

Job Role

Some of the day-to-day responsibilities of being a maintenance engineer involve:

Mechanical work – such as, dealing with breakdowns, bearings, chains, and pneumatics etc
Electrical work – such as, standard fault finding, fault finding in panels, relays, sensors, fault finding with a multi-meter, and more
Planned preventive maintenance – involving general checks, testing voltage, strips and rebuilds etc
Expectations from candidate

To be a successful maintenance engineer there are expectations required from our clients such as:

Confident in fault finding and reading drawings
A minimum of a level 3 NVQ in engineering
The ability to be able to fault find both electrically and mechanically
An engineering background from any industry
