About this position:
We are currently working with a company who is one of the leading suppliers of bespoke test and assembly machines to predominantly the automotive manufacturing industry both here in the UK and world-wide. Due to their success and subsequent organic growth, they now have several exciting and challenging engineering roles that we need to fill.
We have an opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer who would be required to design and develop high value special purpose high voltage machinery predominantly for the automotive industry.
You will join an innovative team and there is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your skills in a highly technical and interesting live manufacturing environment and provide support to our processes.
Job Responsibilities:
* Use of the EPlan (training will be given on EPlan) .
* Create, update and modify existing designs.
* Obtaining quotes and communicating with suppliers on technical issues.
* Answering internal queries during manufacture, build and installation.
* Preparing and maintaining documentation and records to a `Quality Operating System’.
* Preparing and maintaining Excel documents for internal recording of items such as Drawing updates, issue decks, supplier specifications etc.
Experience Required:
* HNC or B.Eng in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant experience preferably with automotive industry experience.
* Good communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team or under their own initiative
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise own workload whilst working on multiple concurrent projects
