Mechanical Technician

Our client is looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician based at their Basildon purpose built site. They design and manufacture production line equipment are keen to recruit a Mechanical Technician to carry out fitting and assembly work with occasional worldwide travel to install equipment at client sites.

Duties:

Working from assembly drawings to fit and assemble equipment on the factory floor
Work within a team to conduct trials and tests on machinery
Piping, testing and fault-finding pneumatic logic circuits
Carry out assembly, commissioning, support and service work at customers' sites
Participate in specialist product training
Requirements:

Good basic engineering skills including machining, fitting, assembly, fault finding and pneumatic skills are required.
Must have a recognised Engineering qualification or have completed an engineering apprenticeship
Must be able to work from assembly drawings
Must be able to produce a high-quality finish and output level.
The ability to work within a team with excellent attention to detail and good problem solving skills is a must
Practical engineering experience, particularly in mechanical assembly and machining is essential
Exposure to pneumatics & installation/commissioning work at customer sites would be a benefit
Must be willing to undertake overseas travel on occasion
