Our Client, a rapidly growing SME within the Mechanical Services industry with primary focus on supporting Decarbonisation projects in the District Heating Network sector are recruiting for a Project Supervisor

The head office is based in West London and with contracts & projects across London and the surrounding Home Counties.

This role reports into the Contract Manager

This role will be supporting the Business at numerous Project locations.

As the Project Supervisor, you will be required to manage the daily activity on projects assigned to the role ensuring compliance with Contractual or client requirements as well Legal and Health and Safety Legislation. This will include managing all resources and work needs such as equipment and supplies to maintain a consistent, timely and cost effective works programme. Supporting the Contract Manager with managing Contract and Client expectation. The majority of the contracts are retrofit & refurb projects within Local Authority and Central Government but also relate to PM type of works. The value of works will range from small work values to excess of £200k. Exposure & experience with these types of contracts is essential.

The candidate will need to be able to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

* To support the requirements of ensuring that all Projects are delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality & regulative standards.

* To manage and periodically review with the contract Manager the Projects cost flows against Budget and manage any phased payment terms and or variation order processes

* Identifying and highlight any risks, ensure that these are eliminated in the first instance. This will include review/completing any required written safe system of work or other associated Safety documentation.

* Communicating effectively at all times within the Business, across the workforce, Clients, suppliers and those effected by the works.

* Support with Managing Contract or Project expectations with the Client.

* Attending and maintain notes and records of any meetings relevant to the Projects, either on site or in offices.

* Managing all deliverables in line with the scope of works.

Skills & Experience

* Educated to NVQ level 3 in a Mechanical discipline (required)

* Demonstrable experience working within the Construction industry as a Supervisor or equivalent within the M&E sector at same level.

* Relevant Health & Safety qualification SSTS/SMSTS (required) IOSH (desired)

* Experience in Managing people (required)

* Experience of delivering projects as the Mechanical Contractor

* Experience in managing Client expectations

* Excellent working knowledge of all MS Office applications
