If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Logistics Sales Manager on a permanent basis in our office in Ipswich, Suffolk.

About the role:

You will be responsible for promoting and selling the company’s services, as well as being the face of the company to customers! Therefore, you will need to exhibit excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills and have extensive experience in business development sales. In this role, you will play a vital role in generating revenue and achieving sales targets established by the company.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Identify potential clients through market research, networking and lead generation
Initiate contact with prospective clients via phone calls, emails and meetings
Conduct assessments of clients’ logistics requirements and present logistics solutions to clients
Prepare pricing quotes and proposals with accuracy
Negotiate to secure service agreements and close sales deals
Build and maintain strong client relationships and collaborate with transportation providers
Accurately complete all essential paperwork and maintain detailed records in the CRM system
Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulations

About you:

Ideally you will understand logistics and supply chain processes. You will have effective communication and customer service skills. Be proactive and have a results-oriented approach.

You will have exceptional organisational and time management skills. Knowledge of shipping regulations and international trade practices are desirable along with having a strong industry network. Attention to detail and ability to problem-solve. Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. It is also essential to have the ability to travel.
