We are seeking a passionate and experienced Tandoori Chef to lead our kitchen team and elevate our culinary offerings to new heights.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Maintenance:

Ensure the kitchen, including all equipment and utensils, is clean and sanitized according to health and safety standards.

Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items using manual and automatic cleaning methods.

Clean and sanitize work surfaces, floors, and walls to maintain a hygienic environment.

Support Kitchen Operations:

Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.

Prepare and organize ingredients for the chefs as needed.

Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation.

Waste Management:

Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables in accordance with local regulations and restaurant policies.

Ensure waste bins are regularly emptied and cleaned.

Equipment Handling:

Operate kitchen equipment safely and according to instructions.

Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the Head Chef or Sous Chef.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.

Follow instructions and complete tasks promptly and accurately.

Maintain a positive and respectful attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus but not required.

Strong work ethic and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Good organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Knowledge of basic food hygiene and safety practices.

Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
