Overall Purpose

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our audit team in the locations noted above.

The role will include, but not limited to, the following:

* Audit Planning and Execution: Responsible for planning and executing audit engagements. This includes understanding the client’s business, designing audit procedures, reviewing the financial statements, and coordinating with the audit team, to ensure timely completion of audit tasks. This will also involve preparing and completing audit work on the key risk areas.

* Risk Assessment and Management: Identifying and evaluating risks associated with the client’s business operations, financials, and reporting processes.

* Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients by providing quality service, addressing client concerns, and identifying opportunities to add value through advisory services or process improvements.

* Team Supervision and Training: Providing guidance, supervision, and coaching to junior members of the audit team.

* Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and auditing standards. Staying abreast of changes in regulations and standards that may impact audit engagements.

* Continuing Professional Development (CPD): Engaging in ongoing professional development activities to enhance technical knowledge, skills, and competencies relevant to the audit profession, as well as pursuing relevant certifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA).

* Project Management: Monitoring multiple audit engagements simultaneously, prioritising tasks, allocating resources efficiently, and meeting deadlines. Communicating with engagement managers and the client to ensure successful project delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

Successful candidates must possess the following:

* Strong organisation and communication skills

* Quality Control and Attention to Detail: Adhering to firm policies, procedures, and quality control standards throughout the audit process, whilst driving for audit efficiencies.

* Teamwork and Collaboration: A collaborative mindset, willingness to work effectively within a team, and ability to communicate and coordinate with colleagues across different levels and departments.

* Technological Abilities: Proficiency with technology, specifically Excel.

* Technical Knowledge: A rudimentary knowledge of accounting / auditing principles and accounting basics (i.e., profit / loss and balance sheet)

* The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.

* Full UK driving licence
