Senior Electrical Engineer

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Civil Engineering and Design firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Senior Electrical Engineer in Monroe Township, NJ.
Responsibilities:
Apply knowledge of power systems ranging from Low Voltage (0 – 1 kV) to Medium Voltage (1 kV - 64 kV) distribution and transmission systems
Routinely interact with, manage, and serve clients
Evaluates, selects, specifies, and engineers both Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Systems products for a project
Engages in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats
Utilizes technologies in development of three-dimensional models of electrical systems and provides markups for junior engineers
Prepares and revises documentation in various electrical phases including site plans, floor plans, wiring diagrams and details mostly for heavy industrial, water, renewable (PV) and generation projects
Leads project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, client and contractor, subcontractors, and vendors
Participates in client project meetings and basic cost estimating
Leads the preparation and coordination of the project specifications with construction documents
Conducts quality assurance and quality control on own projects and projects of peers
Assists in the development of new standards and specifications for the electrical group
Develops project scope, budgets, and design approach for all size projects
Assists with the development of proposal and engineering level of effort for smaller, less complex projects
Oversees multiple Electrical Engineering projects
Participates in constructability review
Record of successfully delivering projects on-time and on-budget, while maintaining high standards of quality
Checks the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manages time to meet project budget and schedule
Participates and collaborates in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought
Requirements
10-15 years of experience
BS or MS in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer preferred
Proficient in Electrical Load Calculations
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Revit
Proficient with Etap, Capper/Dapper or equivalent
Technical writing skills required
Proficient in the development of specifications for UPS Systems, Emergency/Standby Generators, Low and Medium-Voltage Switchgear
Knowledge in Infrastructure and Commercial Facilities
Knowledge relative to Data Center infrastructure design
Capable of supervising staff engineers and designers
Experience with the development of Short Circuit and Selective
Coordination studies
Experience with the development of Arc Flash Hazard Analysis Studies
Experience with the design of Standby and Emergency Generator Systems as well as paralleling generator systems
Extensive field survey experience
Extensive experience with Construction Administration
