Alexander Steele Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading food manufacturer based in Bedfordshire supplying to major retailers and food service. Due to a period of exciting growth, they are looking to appoint an NPD Technologist to assist and collaborate with wider teams on innovation.
On offer:
* Salary is £30,000 - £32,000
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays
* Company pension
* Working hours 8.30am till 5pm
The role:
Reporting to the NPD Manager, the NPD Technologist will take responsibility for the progression of concepts and launch high quality and innovative products whilst collaborating with the wider team.
The successful candidate is tasked with supporting factory trials, continuously improving existing products and ensuring a smooth product launch.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
* Support the delivery of customer led projects
* Work to important deadlines with efficiency and guidelines in mind
* Work with ingredients suppliers to evaluate commercial impact
* Conduct presentations to showcase new and existing products
* Manage the sample process to ensure customers receive samples promptly
* Assist with post launch review to assess product performance
* Brief marketing and sales departments on new products
Candidate requirements:
The business is looking for an individual with experience in a similar role within food manufacturing.
* Educated to degree level in relevant subject
* A strong understanding of manufacturing processes
* Able to build close relationships with other teams
* A creative mind with a desire to create something new
