I'm currently looking for a Principal Designer to slot into my client's business in Manchester and play a pivotal role in implementing retail, residential, and commercial projects nationwide.

My client, comprised of project managers, contract administrators, quantity surveyors, and CDM consultants, offering services and counsel under the CDM regulations collaborate closely with in-house architects and designers, we contribute to construction, refurbishment, and fit-out projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Fulfil Principal Designer duties in accordance with CDM Regulations for projects of varying scales throughout the UK.
Support Designers and Clients in understanding their obligations under CDM Regulations, with a focus on risk prevention principles.
Gather, organize, and distribute clear Pre-Construction Health & Safety Information.
Participate in project design team meetings, leading design risk workshops to influence decision-making positively.
Assess and oversee the competence of designers and contractors.
Review Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans provided by Principal Contractors.
Submit F10 notifications to the HSE on behalf of the Client.
Conduct CDM audits during construction and produce comprehensive reports.
Obtain, organize, and distribute Health & Safety Files as required.Qualifications and Qualities

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Extensive experience and understanding of the CDM Regulations.
Knowledge of Building Regulations and design guidance.
Possession of a valid UK driving license.
Professional, proactive, and enthusiastic demeanour.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
