Management Accountant

Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: Stourport-on-Severn

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

My client is a leading manufacturing company based in Stourport-on-Severn, committed to delivering high-quality products to their customers. As part of growth, we are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join a dynamic finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.

Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support business decision-making.

Prepare and review annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.

Monitor and control costs to ensure they stay within budgeted levels.

Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

Assist with year-end audit and tax compliance.

Provide financial support to other departments and assist with ad-hoc financial analysis as required.

Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory filings.

Adhere to tight deadlines and ensure timely and accurate completion of financial tasks.

Continuously improve financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Management Accountant, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
